Bintang is one of the biggest beer brands in Indonesia with a long story of the nation’s pride. To keep leading and stay relevant, Bintang is taking part in this big event, Java Jazz Festival 2020 as a means to stay connected with its consumers. There are three main objectives; to be one of the main attention-grabber in Java Jazz Festival 2020, to be one of the main spots for hangout, to better engage the consumer with the brand through its spatial experience.
Experience Booth Design
The core idea is to bring up the pride of Bintang as the first beer brewery in Indonesia - to commemorate the life-long journey of the company. The main concept is also taken to induce the kind of freshness that you will get like when you were drinking the beer straight from the brewery itself, Therefore, the general shape of the booth will be made to be monumental in size to create a major focal point for the guest of Java Jazz. We aim to make this facade as attention-grabbing as possible to invite the general visitor to enter and hang out in the booth. The chosen colors are red and white to represent Indonesia’s flag and Bintang Beer’s primary color. By adapting the production equipment from the brewery factory, elements like pipes, crates, and other industrial equipment are injected as ornaments to help enhance the atmosphere. It was also taken to induce the kind of freshness that you will get like when you were drinking the beer straight from the brewery itself.
The booth is a 6 x 12 double-deck area - consists of a bar, performance stage, feature wall, and lounge area. Beer crates are mostly used as table and seating elements of this space. Zonation is formed by the spaces created from a series of brewing tanks. The formation of the tanks is then adjusted to each activity’s needs in order to blend with the industrial, cylindrical-shaped theme. The cylindrical shape is the key to its orientation and circulation.
